Weekend in Brenham, TX for the Shepperd Wedding

We spent the weekend in Brenham, TX for our friends' Scott & Vanessa's wedding. While Daddy was hanging out with the rest of the groomsmen, Carson, Phillip, Christina and I headed to the park to ensure Carson got a good nap for the wedding. Lets just say both Carson and Phillip got a good nap that day.

Carson loved the slide. For some reason he couldn't figure out how to land feet first.

So Uncle Phillip showed him how!

This was Carson's favorite activity - the Monkey Bars!

The hanging part was fun...

But the falling part was even better!

Over, and over, and over again.

Like I said, Uncle Phillip had a good nap that day!

Uncle Phillip was teaching Carson rock climbing 101. He wasn't quite getting the idea...

So Uncle Phillip demonstrated.

After a good nap, we made it to the wedding.

Photo Op - Take 1
Take 2 - That's better!

Oh, and I thought I would share a valuable lesson I learned this weekend.... wedding weekends and toddlers are not a good mix! Unless you are fully stocked with Caffeine, your arms are extremely strong, and your feet don't hurt in heels. Especially when chasing after a toddler all night.

Meeting Baby Riley Russ

Proud parents Megan & Chris Russ welcome baby Riley Christine Russ on October 28th. We made the trip to College Station to meet her. Carson loved being around her. He is sooo ready for a sibling of his own :-)

Kisses from Carson.

Megan and Carson.

I love this picture! He loved holding Baby Riley.

Carson loved to hold Riley but didn't like it so much when we took her away. He was very gentle with her. I know he will be a great Big Brother one day!

Too cute!!

The College Station Children's Museum

While in College Station visiting Baby Riley Russ we visited the College Station Children's Museum. Carson had a blast! This place was wonderful. There was so much for the kids to do.

Yup - 3 foot tall! Crazy! He is not even 2 yet!

Carson loved the music room.

Then we took a trip to HEB - the mini HEB in the museum that is.

There was this great life sized chess set...
Carson was more into knocking them all down.

And Chris was trying to set them up to play.

Play date with Finley and Riggs

The Gordon Family spent a Sunday evening in South Austin with us. Carson showed his friends Finley & Riggs his new "Choo Choo" house he got for Christmas.

Check out the adorable shirt Amanda made for Carson. I love it! She agreed to make Carson's shirts for his 2nd B-day party like the ones I had made for his 1st B-day.

The boys with their phones. Gotta have 'em!

Carson and Finley enjoyed hanging out in the toy closet.
