Has another month gone by???

I blinked and July has gone by... How did that happen?
I had really hoped to be able to keep the blog up to date on a weekly basis but the past month has been super busy. But what's new? I am finally up to date on the blog. Check out the new posts below.
With lots of traveling, keeping our house in tip top shape to sell it (nope, no luck yet), and dealing with 7 days of the flu for Carson and I...we are ready for a slow down. We'll see what will be in store for us in the fall. We are desperately looking for some cooler weather. I think we have only had 2-3 days under 100 degrees this month. And finally, finally it rained today. Just enough to wet the grass.
My mom is coming to town for a 10 day visit next week. We are SUPER excited for that. Yeah! Thanks Mom, we can't wait to see you.
Until next time, we hope all is well with you.
Love,
The Schmitt Family

Our visit with the Gordon's

The Gordon family was in town for the weekend from Oklahoma City and they came over for a visit. Here is little Riggs at 6 months old. He is a monster just like Carson.

Miss Finley & Riggs

Carson and Finley blowing kisses.

Too cute!

Carson and Finley going for a ride.

We sure do miss them. The baseball season will be over soon so they will be headed back home to Round Rock in August. Yeah!

Carson's 1st Haircut

I wasn't sure Carson was even going to get in the chair after witnessing another little boy scream at the top of his lungs before it was Carson's turn.
Here is a before picture with his "comb over" hair style.
You are going to do what with that thing???
Here we go, there is no turning back!

He was soooo good! The only thing he wasn't too sure about was the blow dryer she used to remove the old hair lingering around.

How do I look?

Now I have a hair cut like Daddy!

Hilton Family Reunion

The Schmitt Family headed to Moline, IL for the annual Hilton Family Reunion. My mom has 6 brothers and sisters. All but one brother was able to make it this year.
With 6 brothers and sisters, you can imagine the size of the extended family. Here were are!

The newest addition to the family, Joseph. What a cutie! I thought Carson was a big boy when he was born over 9 lbs. This little guy weighed over 10 lbs at birth!!!

Daddy playing on the diving board.

Here he goes again, watch out Carson!

Carson with cousins Zack and Cassie.

Aunt "Rara" and Carson.

Carson & cousin Samantha. These two were inseparable and so cute to watch!

Samantha just loved playing with Carson!

Aunt Rara and cousin Alex with Carson.

Check out all the kiddos! And this isn't even all of them! What fun!

Carson & cousin Wendy.
Carson and cousin Bailey.

Daddy wasn't too keen on Carson playing with the doll house. One of his other favorites was pushing a doll around in the stroller.

Fourth of July at the Ranch

The Schmitt Family spent fourth of July this year out at Pepaw's ranch and we brought along our good friends Jerold & Johana! We had a blast! The boys played golf a couple of days and Johana and I spent an afternoon at the river sitting in the water with our lawn chairs and reading books. It was perfect!
Carson wanted to go for a swim. So what do you do on a ranch when there isn't a swimming pool? Fill up a horse trough with fresh water. Carson LOVED it!!!
I love this picture. It has the 3 of the horses in the background. I can't wait until Carson is old enough to ride Deedee, the miniature horse on the right.

I am not sure who had more fun, the dogs or Carson! Hank Jr. and Holly LOVED the water. Luke, is no where to be found though. He is much of a fan of the hose.

I love his smile. He is no longer a baby, he is a little boy. Sniff, sniff...

Carson and Pepaw watching the steaks on the grill. Yum, yum!

Brian and Jerold relaxing on the front porch.

Ok, Daddy. I can swing a baseball bat now. When are you gonna teach me how to swing a golf club??

See ya'll later! I am going to go sit over here.
