Father's Day at home with the family....just what Daddy ordered!

We started out the day with French Toast with fresh strawberries and bacon. Yum, yum!!
And what would Father's Day be without cake...chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. Yes, those are toothpicks. I did not have the frosting to write with.

Carson is watching Daddy fill his pool up.

Enjoying some fun in the
sun shade in his new baby pool.

Silly Daddy, you don't fit in the baby pool!

Hugs for Daddy.

Just hanging out....under the table :-)

I thought this shirt was appropriate for Father's Day. A gift from Aunt Mimi (Tammy) last Christmas.

Happy Father's Day Daddy & Papa!!!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!

This one is for you Papa!!! Carson wanted to help me wish you a very Happy Father's Day.

It is days like this that I am reminded that 1000 miles separate us, but we can't wait to see you in 3 weeks! I love you and miss you!!! Thank you for being such a wonderful father. I am very blessed to have a father like you.
This one is for you Daddy... thanks for carrying me the last 30 years. You will always be my Daddy, even at 30 years old. Love you!!!

Dallas / Ft. Worth Road Trip

We spent last weekend in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area visiting family and friends. Carson enjoyed his first Airhogs game! Brian's buddy, Derek Nicholson (who introduced Brian and I 8 years ago), plays for the Airhogs.
Two of the guys Brian coached at Texas State also play for the Airhogs. This is Cody Merrell.

My boys :-)

Carson and I made a trip into Dallas to meet little Miss Madeline Rose Sims. My dear friend Nicole's first born.

What a cutie! Look at all that hair.

Carson enjoyed playing with Maddie's toys.

We enjoyed a Sunday morning brunch at Mike, Jenny & Max's house (Brian's cousins). His other cousin Ben and his family and his two Aunts who live in the area joined in on the fun.
Look at these handsome fellows! From left to right, Austin (11 months), Max (3), and Carson (14 months).

We had lots of fun in the pool. Here are all the boys.

Carson and Austin practicing their swimming skills.

Carson decided he was ready for a nap...too cute!

Weekend fun

Daddy was mowing the lawn this morning and it really interested Carson. He watched Daddy mow the front yard...

And then the back yard.

And then he found Mommy's tooth brush. Who knows why, but it is one of his favorite things to play with in the bathroom when Mommy is getting ready.

After our morning chores we headed out to the Round Rock Rockin' River water park for some fun in the sun.
I headed out to run some errands and came home with this pool for Carson. He crawled inside and layed down. How cute is this! Gotta love the mohawk Daddy gave Carson.

Here are a few pics from a couple of weeks ago. Carson enjoyed a Saturday afternoon playing with his water table in the back yard. I am not sure who had more fun, Daddy or Carson...

I just love these pics...I wonder what was on his mind.

Carson's first steps!!!

Well, they aren't actually his first steps. He starting taking a few "unassisted" steps a few weeks ago. This was the first time he walked more than 6 steps. You may want to turn your volume down. I got a little excited :-)
The image is a little grainy as I took the video with my camera phone.
UPDATE: Ok, apparently the volume does not work with this format and I sound like a bird. Now I would suggest that you turn your volume off. The video, not the volume, is what is important!

We are on the move!

Hopefully..... After much thought and prayer, we have decided to put our house on the market! Brian's job is so far south and with me working full time from our home office, we decided to move to South Austin. We are all up by 6 am in the mornings and Brian is out the door by 6:15 am to miss the most of the morning traffic. By the time Brian gets home from work in the evenings it is just enough time to eat and begin Carson's bed time routine. We are hoping that a move south will add at least an hour or two a day for Carson and Daddy to spend together. Well worth it I would say!

Miscellaneous Monday

Ok, so its Tuesday, not Monday but I had every intention of posting this yesterday. Ha! Just like I had every intention of keeping this blog up to date. I just posted 6 weeks worth of updates today.

Carson and I joined Karen and Trinity (her granddaughter) at the Old Settler's Pool on Saturday and had a great time. This was our first trip here and it won't be our last! Carson loves the water. They have this great kiddie area that is covered and has a sloped entrance that has fountains. Carson had a blast!

Here is a short video clip of his fun in the sun!

What is it with children and a roll of toilet paper? Gotta love his banana shirt. He LOVES bananas!! He tries so hard to say Banana but it comes out like "Baaa na". And when I show him a banana he starts to giggle. He gets so excited.

I just had to snap this photo of Carson sleeping. Too cute!

What can I say about this? He loves Mommy's sunglasses :-)

Happy Monday...ok, Tuesday!

Florida Trip - Part 3

Carson went to the beach for the first time and loved playing in the sand. He especially loved walking in the water and having the waves splash at his feet. We initially went to the beach with the intention of sitting in the sand and hanging out for a few minutes. As you can see, the boys were not dressed to play in the water. But they had fun!

Hmm..what does sand taste like???

So happy!

Check out this video of Carson playing in the sand. He was really into it!
